A weekend in Ohio

What a beautiful weekend to fly to OH to visit friends!! I brought the baby and the camera, here's what came out of the trip:

A friend's beautiful baby girl. This was taken as she crawled around the floor of the dog training center. She was such a funny little thing, army crawling at the speed of light.

And my own little imp. She was on hyperdrive this weekend; go-go-go-gooooo! Between 4am-9pm, she napped for a total of one hour. She was as good as gold though - too busy to fuss!

Photo hosting difference - blech. Here are the files on mpix hosting:

Compared to blogspot hosting (same exact files):

Neither one is right!!

I've also decided that I just really need a reflector or something on the other side. I actually bought a little reflector but it doesn't do much good - too small. I think I'm going to set up my 420ex as a slave w/a shoot-through umbrella to see if that makes a difference . . .

Hellllllllllooooooo Dr. Photoshop

I totally blew this photo shoot. But, since these are of DD and the cabbages are not what they once were (did you know cabbages bleed green when handled by a 1yo?), I am diligently working to save them. *sigh* Major surgery by Dr. Photoshop I guess. Although I HATED the pics in the "N is for Natalie" storyboard originally - saved them but didn't touch them for 2 months because they were so awful - and only resorted to working with them when my shutter died on my 10D and the repair was taking so long. (BTW, here it is 2 months later & it's not repaired yet. So I guess this was a good decision in the end.)

I've been poking and poking and poking at these pics, mostly after 11pm when everyone's asleep and I tiptoe out to the kitchen for a little "me" time. I usually go to bed hating what I've done, but then when I see it the next day I figure it's not toooooooo bad. Any opinions welcome. Not going to hurt my feelings if these aren't your thing; I'm not sure they're my thing either. :)
